We get a lot of questions about our products, so we’ve got this handy page of some of the most common ones. We hope this comes in useful, but if there is anything not mentioned here or something you are not sure about please call us on the number at the top of the page or email us here.
All our Garage Floor tiles are made from high-quality, premium recycled PVC. Our Vented Floor tiles are made from high-quality Polypropylene and our GymGuard mats are made from Natural Rubber.
Yes. All our PVC tiles are non-toxic and free of ammonia, phthalates, ammonia and other concerning chemicals. DMF (Dimethyl fumerate) and Formamide are also specifically not present in our tiles. Our products are tested at source by SGS to REACH EU recommendations and in the UK by SATRA; the materials testing agency. All of our PVC floor tiles meet the Reaction to Fire Classification BFL-S1 and Slip Resistance Classification BS EN 7188.
Yes – to an extent. All tiles in the same range will fit together. All of our DuraFlex Range (DuraFlex, DuraFlex Stud and DuraFlex Tread) will interlock together, including those of different colour. All of our Vented range of tiles will also interlock with one another, these also fit with our ShedBase range. Our Checker Diamond tiles and our GymGuard mats are standalone products and will only interlock with themselves.
We keep high stock levels of all of our tile ranges. We do our best to maintain high stock levels but occasionally demand can exceed supply. As we cut out the middle man and produce our own tiles it is never too long of a wait for our next batch.
Yes we do. All of our samples are free – you can order them here.
We use carriers for all small orders and pallet delivery services for large ones. To keep our delivery charges as fair and accurate as possible we use a weight-based pricing system. For a complete list of rates and zones please click here.
For available in-stock items our standard delivery (courier) takes between 2-4 working days, this can be 2-5 working days for larger palletised orders. Palletised orders will not require signature on delivery if the ‘leave safe’ option is selected at the checkout. A photograph is taken at the point of delivery – we’ve arranged over 50,000 palletised orders and have yet to have one disappear from a driveweay!
Any orders placed online will be subject to our standard delivery service (2 – 4 working days, 2-5 working days for palletised orders). However, we can offer an expedited delivery option on telephone orders in some circumstances. Please call us on 01206 390 572 for more information.
Yes. We will give you tracking information for all non-palletised consignments. To track your order, follow the links in your order confirmation email. If you have any problems regarding tracking please give us a call for assistance. Palletised order tracking enables you to see when your order is out for delivery.
Not necessarily. It may be possible for your delivery to be left in a safe place if you are not in, which will not require a signature. You can either call us on the number above to make these arrangements, or add a comment in the box on the order confirmation screen.
No, unfortunately we do not offer delivery to these addresses at this time.
No. All of our PVC floor tiles and ramps are self-install DIY. The edges of each tile interlock with one another to fit together and create a tight bond. We would recommend a nylon/rubber hammer and a pair of gloves for the job. For extra assistance, we have created a helpful fitting guide.
Our PVC floor tiles are made to cope with small amounts of dust, dirt and gravel, and even slight/moderate variations in floor level. We recommend levelling out any major undulations first with self-levelling compound. Other than that, after a thorough sweeping you are good to go!
The tiles are durable and tough but can be cut to fit. We recommend using a jigsaw with a fine blade (or a blade especially designed for cutting PVC). For larger areas or areas with many cuts you may want to consider hiring a guillotine or tile cutter to make things easier. You can use a Utility knife but you may resemble Popeye by the time you have finished as our tiles are quite tough!
Our mats are generally a doddle to fit! However we do have a few helpful pointers.
We recommend ensuring you leave an approx. 1cm expansion gap around the sides when installing our PVC and Rubber mats.
Particular care is needed for areas exposed to direct sunlight as this can can cause increased expansion due to increased thermal energy.
Not recommended for permanent outdoor use (excluding ParkTile).. For more tips check our fitting guide! https://garagefloorsdirect.co.uk/fitting-guide/
